Im fully convinced that people who defend police either are police, are related to police, or have met cops before. Otherwise I do not get it. I don't think I've ever interacted with a cop that hasnt gone out of his way to be as deeply unpleasant to be around as possible. And I know most people dont and shouldnt need a cop to be mean to them to know cops are bad, cops are bad because of the oppressive system they protect, but what I mean is like. I never had to be convinced cops were even worse than I thought because my first interaction with a pig was just genuinely the stupidest most frustrating shit on the planet. Like I knew at 12 years old before I knew the first thing about american politics "oh wow these guys really are the fucking worst"
